The institute is considered a model I.T.I. and held high in esteem by government bodies and undertakings as well as private sector firms.
The Ebrahim Bawany Industrail Training Institute, was established in 1988. it has taken the challenging task to impart vocational training to the members of the educationally, socially and economically deprived section of the society.
The lush green, eco-friendly campus of the institute. It houses spacious classrooms, well equipped workshops, lecture halls, centrally air-conditioned spacious computer nests, playground, a mosque, residential units for outstation trainees, dining hall and kitchen & canteen boarders and Guest House. The assembly hall is handy for interactive sessions and group discussions.
Till date the institute has trained 6,111 youths. Most of them have found gainful employment in India and Abroad. The percentage of successful trainees is almost 96% which is the highest among all the industrial technical institutes in the of whole of India .
The most encouraging thing to note is that 11.15% of trainees got above 80% of marks. 47.95% of students got 70% to 79% of marks. 32.40% of the trainees passed their trade in the first class whereas only 8.50% of students got second class.
Seminar for entrepreneurship development was organized with a view to create awareness for self-employment in the current international scenario. Workshops to train students to face interviews, courses on development of self-confidence and personality development are arranged frequently. Attending spoken English and basic computer classes is compulsory for all students. The institute also imparts value based education to build strong character among students.
The state and national-level skill competition is held every year by the Department of Employment & Training, Government of Gujarat and Government of India, respectively. Till 2006 15 trainees from our Institute stood first and four second at the state level competition. At the national level, one trainee from our institute stood second.
GUEST HOUSE
The institute has well-furnished, air conditioned rooms for guest. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisines are prepared in-house at the institute's kitchen by trained chefs.
SAFETY AND FIRST AID
The institute has adequate facilities such as fire retardants, first-aid kits, etc. in addition to trained paramedics to tackle any emergency.
